OMEx: Ohio’s Materials Exchange (OMEx) is an informational forum fostering the lawful exchange, reuse and recycling of otherwise waste industrial materials. OMEx publishes no-cost materials wanted and available ads for the purpose of facilitating exchanges for users who then work out the details of payment, transportation and storage. Ads are placed, and updated, by the listing entities. Information provided through OMEx is supplied by the listing party. OMEx began in 1998. It is administered by the Association of Ohio Recyclers and funded through the Ohio Department of Development’s Ohio Energy Office. Waste Alternatives, Inc., of Mount Vernon, OH, services and maintains the listing program while The Internet Professional administers the website.
The Association of Ohio Recyclers (AOR) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit trade organization, founded in 1989, promoting waste reduction, reuse and recycling. AOR is nonpolitical and nonpartisan.
AOR prides itself by promoting sound solid waste management practices incorporating source separation and recycling of marketable materials in the waste stream.
The members are a diverse group representing any individual, business, organization or government entity engaged in the business or activity of recycling within the State of Ohio, and that has completed a membership application and provides the appropriate dues.
